Library Kiosk @ Port

Kiosk @ Port in the tourist village of Port Douglas is the smallest of Cairns Libraries. Opened in February 2010 at the Port Douglas Community Hall the Kiosk has a small collection of 2000 items from the full range of Cairns Libraries collections. With shorter hours and a smaller collection than a full branch library, the Kiosk works particlularly well for borrowers who make use of the reservation system and order items online from the Libraries extensive collection.

The Kiosk @ Port replaced the old Mobile Library that served Port Douglas library users for close to 20 years. The Kiosk has a table and chairs on the verandah for reading the papers, magazines for loan, an internet computer, a catalogue computer, printing facilities and an excellent childrens collection.
