Stratford Library is the southernmost of Cairns Libraries 8 branches and is located in a heritage listed building in the main street of Babinda. Even though it is one of our smaller branches it still offers a full range of facilities for members, including photocopying, wordprocessing and public internet access. In addition, library members and other Babinda residents may pay some Council fees, such as dog registrations, at the library. (This service excludes payment of rates.) An internal refurbishment has taken place recently with modern shelving replacing some of the older style shelves, giving the library a fresh, new look. A daily courier service between Babinda and the other Cairns Libraries branches ensures that Babinda branch members have access to the full range of items on Cairns Libraries catalogue.
